Mad Sin

Genre: psychobilly
Hometown: Berlin, Germany
A mix of psychobilly, rockabilly, punk and surf combined to make this fast paced, horror and gore with hilarious videos to match.

Song: Cursed, from the 2010 album 'Burn And Rise' People Like You Records.

This is the band's 13th album,
To name a few:

20 Years In Sin (2008)
God Save The Sin (2008)
Underground (2005)
Young, Dumb And Snooty (2005)
Survival Of The Sickest (2002)

I would highly reccomend the new album if you have not heard of the band, great tracks including 'Wreckhouse Stomp' and the title track 'Burn And Rise.'

Koffin Kats

Genre: Rockabilly
Hometown: Detroit, MI, USA

Saw these guys at 13th Note a few months again, brilliant band, so much energy and lovely guys I got to interview for the radio show.
I have all their albums and each one is better than the last, such a good rockabilly sound.

S/T (2003), Inhumane (2005), Straying from the Pack (2006) Drunk In The Daylight (2008) Forever For Hire (2009)

It is hard to pick a favourite song, I love so many of them but this track: 'I Saw My Friend Explode Today' from the album 'Forever For Hire' is a song I really really like!

Vintage Trouble

Hometown: Los Angeles, California, USA
Genre: soul, funk, rock n roll, blues

'Live-wired, straight-shootin, dirty-mouth'd, pelvis-pushing juke music'
That tagline on their website is pritty much is how you describe this amazing band Vintage Trouble.
I predict this is a band that will be making it big. So far seen on Jools Holland, in Music Week, Total Guitar Magazine and doing a UK Tour with Brian May!

This video is my favourite track so far 'Hand Me Down Blues' sounding even better live on the Jools Holland show.

Buy their album for only $9.95, which you can buy on their site or download from iTunes (thats about £6!!) Plus they are currently working on another!

The Brains

Genre: Psychobilly
Hometown: Montreal, Canada

A band I found purely by accident while on youtube. This is my favourite song I have found so far, called 'Take What I Want' from the album 'Drunk Not Dead'

I love the psychobilly / rockabilly sound from these Canadian guys! Plus all their videos are really cool, lots of retro themes and sexy pin up girls, there are plenty more to check out on youtube or their myspace page: www.myspace.com/thebrains

Blog

I have created this blog to post some of the songs I like and bands I think are awesome, these opinions are purely my own and if you don't like them well go somewhere else!! haha!
